Village Hall Closure for Maintenance Works – January 2027

The Village Hall will be closed for the first two weeks of January 2027 to allow essential maintenance and improvement works to be carried out.

The temporary closure will provide an opportunity to complete several planned works without disruption to regular hall users and activities.

The planned works include:

• Full redecoration of the hall to freshen and improve the overall appearance of the building.
• Refreshing and redecorating the doors, helping to maintain and improve their appearance.
• Installation of a new entry system, providing improved access arrangements and greater security for the hall.

The works are intended to give the Village Hall a fresh and welcoming appearance for the start of 2027, while also improving the security and management of access to the building.

The closure has been scheduled during the traditionally quieter period at the beginning of January in order to minimise disruption to regular users.

All regular hirers and hall users will be advised of the closure in advance and bookings will not be accepted during the maintenance period.

It is anticipated that the works will be completed in time for the Village Hall to reopen and resume normal activities from Monday 17 January 2027.

The Trustees hope that these improvements will help maintain the Village Hall as a welcoming, well-presented and secure facility for the local community and its users throughout 2027 and beyond.
